Day 01 & 02 - Alankada Beach
Alankuda Beach in Sri Lanka is a stretch beach recently developed in the Kalpitiya peninsula off the north western coast of Sri Lanka. Alankuda Beach is a starting point for off-shore Whale Watching and Dolphin watching at Kalpitiya. Alankuda Beach offers a range of water sports: sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, canoeing, kite surfing and snorkeling.
Day 03 - Villpattu, Anuradhapura
Wilpattu National Park is located 25km north of Puttalam or 30km west of Anurdhapura. The park that lies on the northwest coast spans the border between North Central Province and North Western Province of Sri Lanka. To the south of Wilpattu National Park is River Modergam Aru; to the north is River Kalay oya.
Reaching Wilpattu National Park Colombo-Puttalam A3 highway leads to the city of Puttalama. 42 km along the A12 Puttalama- Anuradhapura highway is a large sign board that reads Willpattu National Park. 7km along the road that turns to the left at the sign board takes you to the entrance of the park at Hunuwilagama.
The beginning of the reign of Sri Lanka, the first most glorious city with unbelievably high rise stupas, Buddha statues to heal your mind as of Hon. Jawaharlal Nehru’s and the city is quite busy with the devotees visiting the Sri Maha Bodhi and Buddhist stupas which will also bring peace and serenity to your inner soul.
Day 04 - Nilaveli Beach
Nilaveli beach is considered one of the purest white sand beaches in Asia. It has remained protected from tourists and visitors for a long time because of the war and after the war thousands of people are visiting Trincomalee and the Nilaveli beach. With the reconstruction of the roads and the newly built hotels the visitor count is ever growing and the beach is loosing some of its serenity.Nilaveli beach is relatively less crowded than most beaches in Sri Lanka and you want find many small shops or various other traders. Although this makes it ideal to relax sometimes it is an inconvenience because you cant find a place to have a quick bite. Nilaveli beach hotel is the oldest and the most prominent hotel near the area. Although there is a new luxury hotel in Chaya Blue.Most people who cant afford a stay in a luxury hotel prefer to stay in small houses and small hotels in the nearby area. There are plenty of these around so you want have trouble finding one.Visiting pigeon island, going snorkeling in the nearby corals and dolphin watching are some of the activities available to you to do in your leisure time.
Day 05 - Sigiriya
The 8th world wonder to be the glorious rock kingdom which was solely built basing a stand rock situated in the middle of a forest. The path is paved for you to explore the paintings of Sri Lanka’s ancient artists and architects, and 6th century engineers of water flow systems. Believe it or not and rate what Sigiriya would make you feel.
Famed Royal Rock Temple is an iconic symbol of Sri Lanka – which has an unbelievably carved rock Buddha Statue and amazing paintings which dates back to a symbolic reign. The Dambulla city would also give you an admirable experience of one of Sri Lanka’s biggest wholesale markets – where the leafy and greeny vegetables be distributed to all the countries
Day 06 - Kandy, Pinnawa, Depature
The sacred city with the Lord Buddha’s most venerable temple of the tooth shining bright among the misty hills and unique traditions of construction, dance and customs. If you are to feel the heritage of Sri Lanka the Dalada Perahera – a parade full of tuskers and traditional colorful dancing all night, is not to be missed.
Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Get enchanted by the wilderness, the little baby elephants and their habitats would explain you everything – that the wild is not wild at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Be there the right time to see them enjoy the waters with the baby elephants and push them to drink their bottle of milk.
